About
This blog provides a space to reflect on the processes, strategies, and methods for building this website and developing a collaborative, digital photo-elicitation project. The website began in 2015 as an idea for a museum exhibit exploring Navajo weaving through historic stereographs. I took inspiration from the dimensionality of the images to imagine visitors encountering Navajo rugs as complex networks of knowledge. The exhibit included a digital component, which eventually turned into this website. This is my first digital research project and there have been many successes and failures along the way. I hope by publishing more on the processes of this research, I can record information that can be useful to the digital humanities community, as well as to archivists and scholars of historic Native American photography.
